ABOUT US
The Ming Yue Lay Buddhist Temple is administered by the Australian Chinese Buddhist Society Incorporated.
The Ming Yue Lay Buddhist Temple adopts the traditional Chinese design and follows the traditions of the Mahayana Branch of Buddhism and Han Chinese Buddhism. This includes following the beliefs of Buddha's teachings as well as devoting to Chinese Buddhist deities, Taoist deities and Ancestors.
The main halls face the East and the Temple grounds occupy a massive 16,000 square metre block.
The Temple is located in Bonnyrigg, New South Wales, a short five minute drive from Cabramatta. The Temple services the Chinese-Australian Buddhist community from all parts of Sydney, not just the South-West. Temple go-ers come from many different places such as China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and many more.
All are welcome to visit the Ming Yue Lay Temple. Yes that means you don't have to be Buddhist to visit! We welcome all people of all backgrounds and faiths, whether you are looking for a peaceful place to worship, or just want to come and have a curious look. Tourists are welcome too.
