Tai Sui Shrine - God of the Year

Tai Sui is ancient Chinese name for Jupiter. They

are heavenly generals who assist the Jade Emperor in taking

charge of the well-being of the mortal world.

There are sixty of them and each takes turn to be in

charge for a year.

In Taoism those with the Chinese Zodiac signs that conflict

or clashed with Tai Sui, will get bad luck for the year.

They are therefore advised to pray for blessings at the Tai Sui shrines to

obtain peace and food fortune for that year.
