A fixture of the Ming Yue Lay Temple is the "Purple Team" of Volunteers, who are present at every major event on the Temple calendar, working hard cooking and selling vegetarian food to Temple attendees. 

(Note: sometimes they wear blue!)

They work very hard and all the proceeds of their sales goes towards the Temple as fundraising. Some of the items they sell are spring rolls, man tao, various custard and bean buns and sweet asian dessert drinks. A definite must-try when you come visit!

The Temple is so proud of them, led by Sim Jie and Kwan Gor, their entire team are very proudly valued by all in the community!
